Mr. Anil Raturi

Born in Mussoorie, Anil Raturi is a retired IPS officer. He completed his schooling at St. George’s College, Mussoorie, and is an alumnus of Delhi University, where he earned a BA (Honours) and MA in English Literature. He has extensive policing experience in UP and Uttarakhand. After more than three decades in law enforcement, he retired as the Director General of Police, Uttarakhand. He has held many sensitive posts in UP, such as Police Chief of Lucknow City, and the districts of Pilibhit, Raebareli, Azamgarh, Etawah, and Meerut. 

His first fictional novel  “Bhanwar,EkPremKahani” was published in 2022.

Lalit Mohan Rayal

Lalit Mohan Rayal is an IAS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre. During his tenure, he spent several years in Allahabad, where his yearning for his homeland was soothed by the songs of Narendra Singh Negi. These songs deeply resonated with him and inspired him to write. He has authored five books, including “Khadakmaafiki Smrition se,” “Athshree Prayag Katha,” “Kaaritu Kabbina Haari,” and “Chakri Chaturang.” His book “Kal Phir Jab Subah Hogi” presents an account of Narendra Singh Negi’s musical journey, featuring 101 of Negi’s representative songs translated and interpreted in Hindi.

In his book, ‘KalPhir Jab SubahHogi’, Lalit Mohan Rayal has attempted to present before the readers an authentic account of Negi’s musical journey . 101 representative songs of Negi have been judiciously selected and classified into eight categories. Thereafter their translation and interpretation in Hindi has been done meticulously so that the original charm remains undefiled . The book is a befitting salute to the connoisseur of Garhwali music and a relishing treat for the eyes and mind of the reader.

Narendra Singh Negi

Narendra Singh Negi (born 12 August 1949), also referred as ‘Garh Ratna’ and ‘Bob Dylan of the hills’ is one of the most prominent folk singers, composer and a poet of the Garhwal and Uttarakhand who prominently sings in Garhwali language .Reportedly, he has sung more than 1000 songs.His unparalleled work in the field of folk music of Uttarakhand is an inspiration for all the upcoming singers of Uttarakhand.

Narendra Singh Negi has been awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in Delhi on 9 April 2022. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated the state’s folk singer Narendra Singh Negi for being honored with the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award at the national level. He said that the honor given to Narendra Singh Negi in the field of traditional folk songs is also the honor of the state.[

Dr. Savita Mohan

The author Dr. Savita Mohan was born in 1953 in Pauri, Garhwal. With more that 43 years of experience in government service Dr. Savita Mohan retired as the Director of Higher Education, Uttarakhand. She has held numerous prestigious posts during her immaculate career. She has more than a dozen books to her credit some of which are ‘Uttarakhand Samagr Adhdhyan’, ‘Ravindranath Tagore: Kavi aur Kaavy’, ‘Bharteey Sanskriti Vimarsh’, ‘Bharat ki Bhaagya Rekha Ganga’, etc. She has also been presented with various awards and accolades and is a voracious traveller. Presently she is engaged in independent writing and social service.

Manohar Chamoli 'Manu'

Manohar Chamoli ‘Manu’ is known for his special writings in Hindi literature.  Mountains, Folk life, Nature along with he has included childhood in a lot of stories. He has also written stories for children. He is a teacher. His experience in law and journalism has made his writing even more special. There are over 24 books. ‘Jeevan men bachpan’ and ‘Antriksh se aagebachpan’ are published by Winsar Publishing House. ‘Katha Kilkari’, ‘Katha Pothi’ and folk tales of the mountain are going to be published soon.
