For the first time, books on how to learn Garhwali has been published courtesy Winsar Publications. One of the most credible publishing houses of Uttarakhand, Winsar Publication was assigned the task of publishing five set of books meant for classes 1st to 5th. The books are meant to teach Garhwali to the students. The books are part of pilot project launched by the state government in PauriGarhwal district towards promotion of Garhwali dialect. The books are to be released in June (2019) end even as the state government will be celebration completion of fifty years of existence of Garhwal Commissioner Office.
